2. Community service - Resume Review + Job Hunt QA

💡 This is a free community service I am starting to help people get ready for jobs. Generally give them access to real world experience, answer questions & provide some counseling. I am not selling or advertising any course(s) right now. But, these conversations might also help me put together my own content/courses at later point in time!
* This is NOT related to any of my current or previous employers / employment. The generic but personal advice provided will be based on my experience working in IT for almost 20 years.

Every so often, I find myself counseling people with respect to their career. It’s not totally selfless though, I learn a lot from these conversations and they help me in choosing subjects for my various blog posts / content.

So, I have decided to formalize the process.

Here are the goals -

  1. Spare a few hours every month for folks feeling stuck!
  2. Review their resumes
  3. Answer questions they might have.
  4. Nudge them in the right direction
  5. Learn from them, gather subjects for my own content / posts.

How can you participate?

  1. Go ahead and fill this form and (optionally) upload your resume.
  2. You should get a meeting request in your inbox
  3. Join the meeting

The format of every session -

  1. Presentation (general guidelines on getting job ready)
  2. Resume reviews
  3. QA
